Project Type

Social Campaign Design

Earth Day Canada creates and promotes a new media campaign annually, which aims to create environmental awareness and encourage people to take action.

Project Background

The challenge was to design a mock Earth Day poster campaign to get young adults living in the Fraser Valley, BC to interact with the campaign through a call-to-action. This required the conceptualization of a touch point to encourage the target audience to take action.

Design Challenge

The poster design includes imagery, colours, and copy that reflects two major weather events that have occurred in the Fraser Valley in 2021, floods and a heat dome. The illustrations are peel-able stickers that allows the audience to interact with the campaign and spread awareness.

Stickers are the touch point of the campaign because they are prevalent among the target audience. The poster is also the touch point because it is a sticker sheet that allows the audience to peel the stickers off of it directly. The audience can place the stickers where they choose, which further promotes the campaign when others see them. The stickers can also be applied to social media applications to further promote the campaign and reach a larger audience.
